Transforming the Breast Cancer Community with Powerful Programs that Inspire & Support!

Our Board Leaders engage deeply with our mission critical programming from day one!  New Board Leaders step into a chair or co-chair leadership role during their first year and then transition to an officer role in their second year.  The Board comprises three officers – President, Secretary, and Treasurer – who are members of the Executive Committee, and officers meet periodically for planning and budgeting purposes.  

As a working Board, Board Leaders should anticipate a few hours of work each month, in addition to reviewing materials and attending virtual meetings.  Board meetings are approximately 1.5 hours and are held via Zoom on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. CST during January, March, May, and September through November (six meetings annually).  In addition, the Board holds work sessions on the second or fourth Tuesday of alternate and overlapping months with board meetings during February, April, June, and September through November (six work sessions annually).

Candidates should be passionate about our cause (one does not need to have had breast cancer) and committed to the following:  serving a two-year term (terms are renewable), attending Board meetings and work sessions (mentioned above), and rolling up their sleeves to contribute talents and skills that impact our mission and contribute to the breast cancer community.
